Jean-Baptiste

I am a middle and high school teacher of French, Geography, History, and Politics with experience teaching since 2004 including the French Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate and French language through the Alliance Francaise. For me, learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience, infused with focus and rigor. I have previously worked as an accredited IB Examiner for French Ab-Initio and bring this experience to fully prepare students for French language exams. I specialise in IB French A: Literature and Language & Literature courses, as well as French B and Ab-Initio.

I hold a BA International Relations, a Master of History, and a Master of Politics. Over the past two decades I have taught French, History and Geography at MYP and Diploma level for the International Baccalaureate, and Economics, Political Sciences and Geopolitics for the French Baccalaureate. I have also taught the IGCSE, in the Montessori system and have many years' experience teaching French language with the Alliance Française.

All these experiences have taught me a variety of methods of teaching which allows me to quickly adjust to my students. However, the common point is to bring confidence to my students. Learning should always be pleasant so I believe in dialogue and exchange so that the student has the opportunity to practice in a supportive environment. Leading up to exams, I also incorporate exam techniques specific to the requirements of each particular curriculum, to ensure that the student can score the best grade possible.
