Digital Society offers the opportunity to write a 4,000‑word Extended Essay focused on how digital systems shape society. This research-based assignment develops independent thinking, structured analysis, and subject-specific insight.
HL students cover additional extension topics – including global well-being, governance, and sustainability – and face longer final exams and deeper inquiry expectations. The IA weighting is also slightly lower at HL.
Our tutors guide students from topic selection (often using AO3 command terms like “evaluate” or “to what extent”), through research design, analysis, evaluation, and presentation. Their focus is on meeting all IA criteria while encouraging creative and critical thinking.
Tutors support understanding of core concepts (change, expression, identity), digital content (AI, networks, data), and contextual lenses (cultural, political, health). We also run exam practice using authentic question formats and case studies.
