Yes. In-person tutoring is available in selected locations across Switzerland, including Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Basel and Zug, depending on tutor availability. Lessons can usually take place at home, in a library or another suitable learning environment.
How quickly can tutoring start?
Tutoring can often start within a few days, depending on the subject, level, location and your child’s availability. Once we understand what you need, we aim to match you with a suitable tutor as quickly as possible.
Do you offer a free consultation before lessons begin?
Yes. You can contact our team to discuss your child’s needs before lessons begin. We will ask about their goals, curriculum, current challenges and schedule, then recommend the best next step, including a suitable tutor match and free trial.
Can tutoring be arranged for short-term exam support?
Yes. We can arrange focused tutoring for short-term goals, including exam preparation, coursework support, revision, predicted grades or urgent help before an assessment. Tutors can focus on exam technique, past papers, marking criteria and the specific areas where the student needs rapid improvement.
How are lessons tailored to each student?
Every lesson is adapted to the student’s level, learning style, curriculum and goals. Tutors focus on the areas where the student needs the most support, whether that means building confidence, closing knowledge gaps, improving study skills or preparing for assessments.
Can I book regular weekly lessons?
Yes. Many families choose regular weekly lessons to provide consistent support throughout the school year. We also offer flexible scheduling, including daytime, evening and weekend options where available.
What happens if the tutor is not the right fit?

Our tutors are carefully selected for their teaching experience, subject knowledge and ability to support students effectively. Many are certified teachers, examiners, IA moderators or experienced international school educators, and our Education Advisors help match each student with the tutor best suited to their needs.
How does online tutoring work?
Online tutoring connects students directly with their tutor through an interactive digital learning environment. Lessons can include video calls, screen sharing, digital whiteboards, document sharing and collaborative tools, so students can ask questions, work through problems and receive feedback in real time.
What technology do students need for online lessons?
Students usually need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, a microphone and, ideally, a camera. A quiet place to study is also helpful. Your tutor will let you know if any specific materials or documents are needed before the lesson.
Can lessons be rescheduled?
Yes, lessons can usually be arranged flexibly around busy family and school schedules. If you need to reschedule, contact your tutor or TutorsPlus team as early as possible so we can help find a suitable alternative time.
How does payment work?
Students usually need a reliable internet connection, a computer or Tutor rates depend on whether lessons are online or face to face, as well as the tutor’s background and experience. Rates start from 70 Swiss Francs per hour, and a one-off enrolment fee covers the whole family for their tutoring needs. You only pay for the lessons you need, with no monthly plans or advanced payment packages required.
