My passion for global perspectives on teaching, learning and educational leadership led me to start teaching internationally in 2014. I teach Spanish up to IB Spanish B, as well as IGCSE and A Level and bring a wealth of expertise to my teaching. My journey has taken me through diverse landscapes, from teaching Spanish to assuming the role of Head of the Language Department or Curriculum Leader at prestigious international schools in Africa, the USA and Europe. I strive to create a relaxed and engaging learning environment where my students can move quickly and effectively towards their language goals.

I hold a Bachelor of Education and a Master in International Education and Bilingualism. I also hold an Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Learning from the International Baccalaureate Organisation. I ensure my students feel at ease and confident to express themselves, not worrying about mistakes, which are a natural and essential part of the learning process. I make sure we learn in a fun way, and I love sharing experiences from my culture to enrich our lessons. Each lesson begins with an icebreaker activity to practice speaking skills, tailored to different topics aligned with our learning goals.

After the icebreaker, we delve into the specific skill we want to enhance for that day. This could range from grammar and reading comprehension strategies to writing practice, all through interactive and engaging activities. I provide my students with a daily agenda on Google Docs, outlining the lesson goals, activities, and necessary links. Additionally, we have a Google Drive folder where we add all necessary documents, resources, and practices for easy access. I also include a tab with a list of useful resources such as podcasts, dictionaries, and websites to further support their learning journey.
