Tony

I have over 40 years of experience teaching Physics including at prestigious international schools in Europe and India. During this time, I have taught A Level and IB Physics, Maths up to A Level, as well as Physical Chemistry and Astronomy. I have been an IB Physics examiner since 2012. I believe if a student is confident in their knowledge of the subject matter, they can deal with anything that the exam questions "throw" their way. I draw upon my vast experience in international education and insights as an IB Diploma examiner to ensure students are ready and confident to achieve their full potential. I develop a great rapport with my students and aim to transmit my passion for learning.

I hold a BSc Hons and MSc and started teaching Physics in 1967 in the UK before spending the majority of my career at a prestigious European boarding school. When I teach, I also pay great attention to language. Many students are writing exams in a language which is not their mother tongue. This means that I have to make students aware of the problems associated with communication: carelessness, malapropisms, language crossover, interpretation of phraseology and even legible handwriting! Now semi-retired, I continue to tutor and pursue my big passions in life, which include Physics, teaching, languages, a wide range of outdoor activities, and service to others.
