As a teacher of Physics and Maths for secondary school students, and I've been teaching the IB DP and the local German education curriculum since 2019. I am an IB specialist, teaching all courses of Physics and Maths at standard and higher level. I am also an IB examiner for Maths AI, which has given me unique insight how to guide students' learning. Understanding how to guide students towards great results, not only in exams but also Internal Assessments and Extended Essays is one of my strengths. Guiding my students to become more knowledgeable, and who can find solutions on their own, an approach that from my experience and research is effective in regards to their retention.

With a Bachelor of Science in Maths and Physics, I am currently studying for a Master of Education. As well as IB Physics and Maths, I have also taught Theory of Knowledge, been the DP Coordinator at a previous school and led the DP CAS programme. A strength is my professional development in neurodiversity, diversity and inclusion; design thinking and design learning; and positive discipline.

I emphasise reflection and metacognition in my students, give timely and valuable feedback, and continuously check their comprehension. In a tutoring session, I encourage my students to come with either some homework or classwork they need help on or an idea of topics which they'd like to review. My students leave every session with the resources we discussed to refer back to, and clear goals on next steps.
