I have been working in education for 20 years, and on three different continents, enabling me to confidently work with students from all over the globe. I teach IB DP Biology, Environmental Systems and Societies and am also a TOK specialist. I particularly enjoy guiding students in their scientific research, in the form of their Extended Essays and Internal Assessments. As an IB Biology Examiner I teach exam techniques to help my students get the best possible results. My passion for Global Education has led me to work on educational projects with Erasmus, and NGO Mondo in Ghana and Kenya. I have also worked as a Biologist and tour guide in French Guiana.

After completing my MSc in Natural Sciences, I went on to achieve my MA in Education (Geography and Biology). Over my 20 years in education, I have taught in Estonia, the USA, Ghana and Costa Rica. I have experience in the IB programme since 2011, working as an IB teacher, IB Coordinator, and IB Examiner. During my time at the United World College Costa Rica I taught TOK, ESS and Biology and have always sought to support students beyond academics organising CAS activities and field trips. I am currently pursuing a lifelong interest in Peace Education and Global Education by studying for a PhD with a research focus on multicultural education and teacher self-efficacy. I am known for building confidence and motivation in my students alongside developing and extending their subject knowledge.
