I am an Environmental Scientist and certified teacher and define myself as a passionate person with an outgoing personality, who loves to teach and to learn. For over a decade, I have taught Biology and Chemistry for iGCSE, A Level and IB, as well as the IB Environmental Systems and Societies course, for which I am also an IB Examiner and IA moderator. As such, I am skilled at guiding IB students through their Extended Essays and Internal Assessments. In addition to excellent subject knowledge, I am a patient and supportive tutor. I adapt my lessons to meet the goals of my individual students and am known for boosting confidence and motivation as well as grades.

I have a MSc in Environmental Management and Policy, which I followed with a MSc Education after working at an Environmental Education Programme summer camp in New York. Being able to raise awareness of environmental challenges amongst my students helped me to discover that I was born to be a teacher. Since then, I've taught Biology, Chemistry and ESS at MYP and IB Diploma level at various IB schools.

Being able to transfer my passion for nature to my students has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I like making my classes dynamic and participative. I am a motivator and believe that the best way to give a class is to make it enjoyable, to captivate a student's attention so they learn without noticing that they are taking in the knowledge. My classes are well-prepared and creative as I believe high quality and effective teaching is rooted in being imaginative with the choice of themes and the tools to be used in class.
