I am a passionate Chemistry teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching across four continents. I have taught IB, AP, Key Stage 3 and 4, and iGCSE Chemistry, and have spent most of my professional career at IB schools, preparing hundreds of students for their higher education. Since 2015, I have been an IB Examiner and Internal Assessment Moderator. I support IB students by providing the guidance they need to write high-level Internal Assessments and Extended Essays.

Since my undergraduate studies in Chemistry teaching, I have only continued to deepen my skills and knowledge in this field with a Master and then PhD in Science Education. I began teaching in 1994 and throughout my career have taught Chemistry at middle and high school level, specialising in the IB, iGCSE and AP curricula.

Some highlights of my career so far include a Fulbright Scholarship for a teaching exchange in the USA, having acted as Head of Department for several years and working part-time as a teacher trainer in teaching methodologies, class management, and effective communication. In my tutoring sessions I provide a flexible environment in which students can learn on their own pace and grow in confidence. I support making stronger connections between the topics and concepts for a thorough understanding.
