About:

A certified and passionate teacher of Biology and Environmental Sciences, I have well over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring these subjects at high school and university level. I have been an IB Examiner for ESS since 2012, and am also an IB Examiner for Biology, Extended Essays and Internal Assessments and am fully up to date with all aspects of what the IB is looking for when evaluating student learning. A teacher by vocation, I also tutor IB Chemistry Geogrpahy and SEHS and am known for caring deeply about my students' progress and being committed to their success.

Teaching experience and approach:

After gaining my PhD in Ecology, I obtained my certification as Biology and Environmental Sciences teacher. I acquired my love for sciences from my years studying the IB at a United World College and have taught High School and IB students since 2011. I am an expert at teaching students whose first language is not English, and model excellent communication skills, which translates into my students' ability to confidently express their knowledge in their Extended Essays, Internal Assessments and exams. I am a teacher trainer of the CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) teaching methodology I excel at. The passion I have for teaching is reflected by my daily activity in class and the passion I put every day in my "other" job as Principal of the Pre-school of my hometown.
