I am an enthusiastic and goals-driven Primary teacher with over a decade's experience teaching in the classroom and online. I believe the key to success and enjoyment within school life comes from inspiring confidence in children and building their skills as independent learners. Most of my recent work has been online with children from around the globe who are in need of extra support, a challenge, or who are preparing for entrance exams. I have extensive experience preparing students for the London Day School 7+ exams as well as the ISEE exam requirements and their ever-changing form. Through tuition I have managed to help pupils to gain places at leading London Day Schools, including Kings College Wimbledon, Westminster and St Paul’s Junior School.

I hold a degree in Sociology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Primary. As well as classroom teacher, over my career I have enjoyed mentoring trainee teachers and positions of leadership such as Head of Curriculum, Learning Enrichment Leader and Continuing Professional Development Lead at a highly competitive London pre-prep school. As a teacher, I strive to cultivate independence and confidence in my students through enthusiastic teaching within a supportive atmosphere, which meets the needs of each unique child. I value that a lesson creates a vibrant, secure environment where children can feel happy, confident and eager to learn. I plan creative lessons that aim to ignite the children’s curiosity and engage them as well as achieve excellent progress. I take great pride in my work and feel enormous satisfaction when I see the progress and joy that has come from a child’s learning.
