I have over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring French over a wide range of curricula including AP, French Baccalauréat and IB as well as DELF preparation. Within the IB, I have taught French Ab-Initio, French B and the French A: Language and Literature courses. I have 5 years' experience tutoring History and Literature and other subjects within the Baccalauréat Français, before and after the last reform. I love teaching and pay extra attention to understanding why students may have difficulties with a particular subject and find an adapted and tailored way to lift the block.

A certified language teacher, I also hold two master degrees in the areas of International Law and Economics. As a teacher, I have come to realise that generally students know far more than they think they know. The reason why they may be struggling is often due to a gap in skills acquisition prior to tackling a course at a certain level, or a lack of motivation due to disappointment with their progress. My approach emphasises identifying what's causing the block and really simplifying difficult concepts as much as possible to rebuild confidence. I craft lessons that lead students to progressively understand by themselves, through Q&A, tasks that are broken down into a step-by-step comprehension process, and other activities that involve the students and keep them active in every moment of the lesson.
