Hi! I've been a professional Maths tutor since 2010, focusing on A Level and iGCSE/GCSE students. As an online specialist, I utilise innovative tools to create engaging and inspiring lessons tailored to individual learning styles. I've worked with students who have a variety of capabilities, temperaments and goals, some who have been home-schooled and some with additional learning needs. For some the goal has been a grade 4 at GCSE to allow them to progress into further education and some of these have gained the confidence to sit the higher tier paper. Others, particularly A Level students, have aimed to gain a deeper and fuller appreciation of mathematics. I make lessons engaging, interactive, and even a bit fun!

I achieved a BSc Hons in Pure and Applied Mathematics in 2008 before studying for a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. This gave me an understanding of the theory of mathematics education and experience in the classroom. I am now a certified member of Qualified Tutor, and have been awarded the tutor Mastery Award.

I use my experience to adapt each lesson to my students' needs, helping to build their confidence, fill gaps in their learning, and overcome fear and resistance to Maths. As a patient and kind teacher, I work at the pace of each child. My approach to tutoring is one that builds confidence in my students and helps to reduce their anxiety. I am friendly and approachable. Students feel that they can talk to me about what they're struggling with, without judgement, and get the support they need.
