A fully qualified teacher, I have over a decade of experience supporting students through both the theoretical and practical aspects of Physical and Health Education. Having worked within the IB since 2012, from PYP to DP, I am now Head of Department and specialise in the IB Sports, Excercise and Health Science course, including expert guidance of Internal Assessments. My goal is to develop not only knowledge but also skills like problem-solving, self-reflection, and adaptability—key attributes for success in academics, sports, and life. I am a passionate advocate of the power of sport and physical activity for the wellbeing and development of outstanding qualities in students such as leadership, empathy and resilience.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Physical Education. My international teaching career has taken me to Africa, Asia and Ireland. As an educator, I take a student-centered approach to teaching, focusing on engagement, understanding, and real-world application. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, think critically, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. Whether teaching physical education, sports science, or health-related topics, I emphasise active learning strategies, practical examples, and connections to students’ interests.
