I have a great passion for helping students build their skills and interest in Chemistry, with three decades of experience teaching the subject at high school level. I am self-motivated and my enthusiasm for Chemistry is contagious. My teaching makes learning Chemistry fun and easier, quickly boosting a student's confidence and performance. I use my experience as an IB Examiner to give students insight on how to achieve the best performance possible in their exams. I also bring my experience as an IA moderator to ensure students are clear on the expectations and confident to prepare high quality internal assessments. As well as the IB curriculum, I also teach iGCSE, A Level and AP Chemistry.

I followed my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a teaching Diploma and have been teaching since 1996 in an international school. Over my career I have taught Chemistry in a variety of curricula, though my area of expertise is the International Baccalaureate for whom I am an active assistant examiner. My experience marking IA Lab Reports, Paper 2 and Paper 3 examinations has helped me perfect great techniques to prepare IB students for their Internal Assessments, Extended Essays and exams. My approach to teaching is dynamic, student-centred and interactive, making sure students comprehend and put into practice key concepts of Chemistry.
