A certified teacher in Secondary Biology with General Science, I have been teaching all three Sciences at GCSE/iGCSE level for over 20 years. As I have prepared students for IGCSE and A Level in all the exam boards, I know the examination syllabi inside out. I also teach Biology and Chemistry to IB and A Level. My experience means that I can confidently support IB students with their Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. After a long career in the classroom, including leadership roles as Head of Science and Science Coordinator, I am now predominantly teaching online. I aim to build great relationships with my students. Oftentimes to inspire and engage them in highly personalised tuition using. In my teaching practise it is important to use real life examples as this boosts students' confidence in their skills.

After completing my BSc (Hons) Zoology in Biology, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Biology with General Science. This gave me Qualified Teacher Status. A decade later I also completed a MSc Human Health and Disease. I've worked in international schools in Malaysia, China, Qatar, Germany, France as well as in the UK since 1996. Students can expect me to quickly identify the specific topics in need of revision. I ask lots of questions about their understanding of the subject at hand. In this way I provide ample room to discuss newly taught subjects in order for them to examine the depth of their understanding. I offer plenty of practice answering questions in various formats, so that they enter exams well-prepared for any situation.
