I am a professional and caring teacher with more than 20 years of experience teaching Design Technology at iGCSE, IB MYP and DP. I am also a Maths teacher at KS2, and KS3 where I specialise in SEN students and those that are Maths shy. I initially trained in the UK and have experience working in the UK and international schools (including in Africa, Asia and Europe). With a background in Pastoral support in schools and Foster Care in the UK, I am able to empathise with the many issues that our modern world can make and work with students and parents to find solutions to these.

I hold a Master of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Design and Technology. Prior to becoming a teacher in 2003, I spent 16 years working as a Mechanical Design Engineer and I use these real-world skills to guide students as they apply theory to practice. I hold over 15 years' experience teaching iGCSE, GCSE Maths and Design and Technology as well as BTEC Engineering and Construction and most recently, experience with MYP Design and DP Design and Technology. I have held various leadership positions over my career including KS3 coordinator, IB DP advisor, Data Manager and Pastoral Coordinator. I believe that the child comes first and as far as possible education should be tailored to allow them to succeed and grow as global citizens.
