Sreemati

I am a certified teacher with three decades of classroom experience, the last half of which has been in international schools. I tutor IB, IGCSE and A Level Geography, and IB Global Politics, Theory of Knowledge and Digital Society. I have very deep knowledge of the IB programme: I am an IB Workshop Leader for Geography, TOK and Digital Society; an IB Examiner, and IA and EE Moderator; an IB School Visit Member, and Course Reader. I bring all this insight into my lessons, ensuring my students have the most up-to-date knowledge of what is expected from them in their IB exams, Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. I am very passionate about teaching and always help my students maximise their potential.

After completing my undergraduate studies in Geography, I completed a BEd in Geography and English as Method, and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education. As well as teaching, I have held many positions of leadership such as Head of Department for Geography, CAS Coordinator, Deputy Head National Curriculum and Model United Nations coordinator, which is a true passion of mine. I have vast experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds and capabilities, and for whom English is not a first language. My teaching approach is focused on conceptual understanding, and Interactive, inquiry-based sessions where the student is the protagonist in his or her learning. My students have often commented on my patient approach and ability to help them achieve great results.
