About:
During my 25-year teaching career in international schools, I have taught the IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma. I have remained committed to crafting immersive and interactive learning environments. This has helped my students excel in industry certifications and pursue advanced studies in Computer Science. As an IB examiner in Computer Science, I have a deep understanding of the expectations of this challenging course. I understand specifically what the exams require. As well as the Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. My deep expertise and up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum helps students succeed in this ever-evolving field.

I hold a BSc in Computer Science Education and over two decades of teaching, I've had the privilege of instructing a diverse array of computer science courses. This has encompassed programming, data structures, and algorithms. I am a highly motivated professional tutor devoted to guiding students towards their goals. I provide top-quality instruction, and nurturing students so they can reach their full potential. My teaching philosophy is rooted in continuous improvement. Thus ensuring that I create engaging, enriching learning experiences for students from diverse backgrounds. I aim to make complex topics easier to understand by using real-world examples. ParentI used Tutors plus for my daughter who has dyslexia. I particularly like that they listened to my needs and paired her with Alan who had experience of using innovative and alternative styles of tutoring to reach her learning style. It was a personal service rather than a blanket service. I was contacted intermittently to confirm all was on track.
