Vera

I am a seasoned English Literature and Language teacher with more than 15 years of international teaching experience in IB schools on three continents. I am a literature and writing expert who knows everything about composing the perfect essay—from conducting research and properly citing sources, to how the essay should be structured and the arguments within it supported and organised. As a graduate of an elite university (ranked as one of the top 20 universities in the world), I also have first-hand knowledge of what top-tier universities are looking for in applicants.

I hold an Hon. Bachelor of Arts degree in World Literature and a Certificate of TESOL. My areas of expertise include the IBDP Language A courses and AP Literature & Composition courses, as well as IB English Extended Essay supervision. I am currently an active IB Diploma Examiner for IB English A: Literature and IB English A: Extended Essay (all three categories). I’ve worked as a college English and Communications lecturer and have served as the Head of English at an IB World School in Europe. I am also a TESOL certified lecturer of IELTS and CAE preparation courses. I have helped many of my former students write their admission essays and interviews, which led to their subsequent acceptance to top North American and European universities.
