I’m a passionate language teacher with over 15 years of experience helping students thrive in Spanish and English. I've had the pleasure of teaching across Europe, working with a variety of international programmes like the IB, IGCSE, and A Level. I currently specialise in IB Spanish B and English B, and draw on my training as an IB examiner to ensure students confidently prepare for independent components like internal assessments and the Individual Oral. I genuinely helping my students unlock their full potential. Fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, I love bringing creativity, structure, and warmth into every lesson. Whether it’s preparing for exams, diving into a novel, or supporting students with individual learning needs, I’m here to make learning engaging and meaningful.

I hold a BA in English Studies, a MPhil in English Literature and became a certified teacher in 2005 when I also started working in schools teaching Spanish. In 2012 I started teaching to the IGCSE and IB curricula, both Spanish first and second language courses as well as EAL. In 2015 I became a Spanish B SL Examiner and Team Leader. My teaching style is rooted in a communicative approach that emphasises active oral interaction and meaningful dialogue. I encourage students to express themselves and engage in conversation, as I believe that fluency develops through use. I focus on vocabulary in context, helping learners grasp not just meaning, but usage in real-life situations. I regularly use authentic texts and examples to keep lessons relevant, and I give students time to reflect on their learning. Writing tasks are also part of my approach, allowing me to check understanding and reinforce knowledge. Whenever possible, I link practice activities to exam requirements, ensuring that students are both improving their language skills and preparing effectively for assessments.
