I teach High School Maths, specialising in IGCSE and IB Maths AI at both standard and higher level. I care deeply about my student's progress and draw upon my excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills to inspire a passion for Maths and boost motivation and success in this subject. I enjoy supporting IB students to foster their independent learning skills to achieve great results and satisfaction in their Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. I very much encourage my students to develop new skills that will equip them to continue to be actively engaged in learning after they leave school, and to help them not only obtain university admission through better grades but also prepare for success during higher education and beyond.

Teaching experience and approach:
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as a Master's in Financial Mathematics, which has given me extremely solid foundations for teaching the IB Maths AI course in particular, where students need to understand the limits of a model when applied to a real life problem and interpretate the result. I am committed to creating clear strategies for facilitating learning experiences in which students are meaningfully engaged in structured inquiry and greater critical and creative thinking.

ParentI used Tutors plus for my daughter who has dyslexia. I particularly like that they listened to my needs and paired her with Alan who had experience of using innovative and alternative styles of tutoring to reach her learning style. It was a personal service rather than a blanket service. I was contacted intermittently to confirm all was on track.
