A native German speaker, teaching German is my passion and I love witnessing my students improve their language skills, gain confidence, and achieve their full potential. Whether preparing for IB Ab Initio or Language B, iGCSE or A Level, I design learning materials that offer a broad and varied curriculum. My lessons encourage independent language use, incorporate authentic German to build real-world confidence, and cover the core elements required for exam success.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in German and have taught in UK and international schools since 2010. I have held many positions of leadership including Head of Modern Foreign Languages, Head of Year and Lead German teacher. I have also been an oral examiner for the Cambridge and Pearson iGCSE speaking exams and delivered workshops for Pearsons as on conducting the oral examinations at IGCSE level.

My approach to tutoring is entirely student-centred. Whether online or in-person, my guiding principle remains the same: to tailor the learning experience to the unique needs of each student. During our initial meeting, I assess the learner's needs, identify any gaps in their knowledge, evaluate their current level, and understand their goals. This personalised approach ensures that my lesson materials and teaching style are customised to meet each student's specific requirements.
