A clear assessment of your current provision, with practical steps to strengthen it. Our review examines how your safeguarding policies translate into everyday practice.

What the service includes

  • Initial scoping meeting: agree the review’s focus, relevant standards and documents required.
  • Document review: examine safeguarding policies, staff codes of conduct, recruitment procedures, induction materials and training records.
  • Staff consultation: speak with leaders, safeguarding leads and a sample of staff about their responsibilities and confidence in reporting concerns.
  • Reporting review: assess how concerns are raised, recorded and escalated.
  • Written findings and action plan: set out strengths, gaps and recommended actions, with suggested owners and timescales.
  • Leadership debrief and follow-up: discuss the findings and review progress against agreed priorities.

Your school receives: a written review, a prioritised action plan and a leadership briefing.

Safeguarding Policy & Procedure Development

Practical documents that give staff clear responsibilities and a consistent approach. We help schools create or update safeguarding policies.

What the service includes

  • Safeguarding and child protection policy development: define responsibilities, reporting routes and procedures for responding to concerns.
  • Staff code of conduct creation: address professional boundaries, one-to-one teaching, digital communication and appropriate contact with pupils.
  • Safer recruitment procedures recommendation: clarify checks, references, responsibilities and record-keeping.
  • Practical reporting tools proposed: develop reporting flowcharts, concern forms and escalation guidance, including routes for allegations against staff.
  • Implementation materials: provide a staff induction checklist, policy acknowledgement record and review schedule.
  • Leadership workshop: work through the documents and agree how they will be introduced, communicated and maintained.

Your school receives: an editable policy and procedures pack, supporting templates and an implementation session.

Safeguarding Training for School Teams

Relevant, practical training that prepares staff to act.

Our training uses realistic school scenarios and your own reporting procedures to develop staff understanding and professional judgement. Sessions provide time to practise responses, discuss uncertainty and ask questions.

What the service includes

  • Training needs review: agree the audience, priorities and learning objectives with your safeguarding lead.
  • Recognising concerns: explore signs of abuse and neglect, changes in behaviour and barriers that may prevent pupils from seeking help.
  • Responding to disclosures: practise listening, responding appropriately and making an accurate record.
  • Reporting and escalation: work through whom to contact, what to record and what to do if a concern remains unresolved.
  • Professional boundaries: examine staff conduct, online communication and concerns about the behaviour of another adult.
  • Scenario-based activities: consider situations relevant to your setting, such as peer-on-peer harm, one-to-one lessons or school trips.
  • Learning checks and resources: use short knowledge checks, participant feedback and reference materials to reinforce learning and identify follow-up needs.

Your school receives: tailored training, participant materials, an attendance record and feedback on further learning needs.
