Ahmad

I am a resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented teacher with over 10 years' experience in international schools. Currently based in Europe, I am Maths coordinator at my school and I teach both middle and high school. This allows me to follow the progress of my students as they move into the IGCSE, A Level, and IB Diploma, and address any knowledge gaps early on to ensure their success. As well as being an IB Maths and IGCSE examiner, I am also an IB Revision Course instructor and so am well-versed in the common trouble areas that students need to master to improve their grades in their final exams.

I earned a BSc in Mathematics and Teaching Diploma (High School Mathematics) before continuing on to achieve a MSc in Project Management in England in 2007. My career has taken me to Lebanon, UAE, UK and Germany and I love teaching in an international environment. In addition to teaching, I observe and support teachers within the mathematics department. I also worked for several years in banking as a credit officer, so can bring real-world application of mathematics into my classroom.

I adapt my teaching to each student, and constantly seek feedback to make sure they are getting the best out of the lesson. With regards to exam preparation, I focus on strategies to collect maximum points in each exam question, familiarising students with spotting key words and crafting a procedure to follow on recurrent types of questions. I inspire students towards a deep understanding and enjoyment of mathematics.
