About:

I am a Maths teacher in international programmes, with over 15 years of experience providing the vision required to ensure high quality education for my students. Teaching both IGCSE and IB Maths AA at both Sl and HL, I am also an IB Examiner and IA Moderator. Using my unique insight into the exam requirements I guide students to meet the examiners' expectations. I am committed to student success, building strong relationships that foster confidence. With that in mind I work consistently with students to improve scores. I effectively incorporate innovative teaching strategies, technology, and diversified education to accommodate diverse learning preferences.

Teaching experience and approach:

I hold a MSc in Mathematics and Mechanics and I am a certified teacher. During my career, I've also been Head of Department, leading my team towards improved student results. I continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay current in the field. While maintaining my enthusiasm for equipping students with the essential mathematical skills they need for future success. My approach to teaching is to encourage students to develop a growth mindset. While at the same time, cultivating a deep understanding of mathematical ideas through interactive ways.

Nicky has been a great tutor for me so far and I really recommend her for anyone needing help with math AA at SL. She helps me practice with exam style questions and her notes are very clear.
