Dr Sandra

I am an enthusiastic and hardworking teacher and academic scientist with a solid background in Chemistry and Physics. I cherish any opportunity to transmit a profound knowledge and love of science to young people. Most recently I have been working at an international school teaching IB DP Chemistry and MYP Chemistry, Science and Maths. I particularly enjoy supporting individual students with their internal assessments, extended essays and exam revision.

After obtaining my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, I went on to complete a PhD in Chemistry. Throughout my years working as a university researcher, I was teaching Chemistry and Physics to first- and second-year students as well as being responsible for supervising students' practical work, Masters and other projects. Currently, I have particular experience teaching IB Chemistry at MYP and DP level, covering both Standard and Higher Level curricula. I have also taught MYP Science and Maths year 7-10. Students can expect from me a clear communication of scientific concepts, and to improve their own presentation skills.
