About:
I have been working in international education since 2006 and currently teach Business Management and Economics at a leading U.K. IB school. I have been an Economics examiner for the IBO since 2014. Teaching the different exam boards in the UK, Edexcel and AQA, as well as the experience of training teachers, has given me the skills needed to create engaging and effective materials for my students, in which I like to incorporate real-life examples as well as exam questions. I give expert guidance to IB students on their Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. I have worked with teenagers from all around the world with different abilities and backgrounds and it's a joy to see them increase both motivation and grades in the subjects I teach.
Teaching experience and approach:
I graduated from International Relations and continued on to do a PhD researching the role of technology in boosting achievement in an online course. Over my career I have gained experience teaching IB Economics and Business Management as well as different iGCSE and A Level exam boards such as Edexcel and AQA for Economics as well as AQA for Business. In the meantime, I became an IB examiner in Economics and teach Easter and Summer revision courses.
I am a teacher who strongly believes in learning by doing and my commitment to finding the most efficient ways of teaching helps me guide students to success in their final exams. Being an IB examiner in Economics allows me to give my students additional support and teach them how to get the maximum marks for their answers, not only in IB but also when teaching for other exam boards. I impart to my students various learning techniques, all based on the most current research. I also focus a lot on teaching my students how to write well-structured, balanced essays.
