As a fully qualified English teacher, I am passionate about teaching and always strive to improve my students’ academic performance. With over 15 years of experience in education, I have taught English from primary level to iGCSE and IB Diploma. I am an IB Diploma Examiner for English Language and Literature and a GCSE English Examiner for AQA and also an experienced IB Extended Essay and Internal Assessment moderator. My tutorials are very much practice-based, whether it is schoolwork, essay writing or exam preparation, and my students are motivated by seeing the results of their progress every lesson.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Secondary English and have taught English Language and English Literature in the UK and Europe in classrooms, as well as online and face-to-face tuition. My approach to tutoring is centred around a student's specific needs and requirements. For both Language or Literature, we together identify any gaps to be addressed before exploring rules, schemes and strategies to enhance skills and knowledge. Continuous feedback from me allows my students to move forward, taking into account my suggestions and applying them to their next piece of work, perfecting their skills each time. In any situation, I endeavour to build transferable skills. Together we develop a habit of thinking deeper, looking for multiple meanings within the text and presenting them in a logical way.
