About:
I am an experienced high school Visual Arts teacher and art curator, and my enthusiasm for Art and what it offers to the individual and the world is contagious. As an IB Examiner, I can guide students to bring the best out of their Process Portfolio, Exhibition, and Comparative Study. My tuition is tailored to each student and towards achieving their specific personal goals so they grow in confidence, skill and motivation for the subject.

Teaching experience and approach:
I graduated cum laude from my BA in Visual Arts and Psychology and followed this with a Master of Education in Neuropsychology and Education, researching the effectiveness of the IGCSE Art and Design program in the development of visual spatial memory and creativity. As well as a high school Art teacher, I have been a curator for acclaimed art fairs such as Art Basel Miami, Context New York, and Expo Chicago. I create a welcoming environment that allows my students to feel comfortable, ask questions and overcome challenges. I believe in the importance of establishing clear objectives and individualized learning strategies for each student. I use my experience as an IB Examiner to guide students to prepare their Process Portfolio, Exhibition, and Comparative Study in a way that meets the IB requirements while excelling in their individual expression and skill development.

ParentI used Tutors plus for my daughter who has dyslexia. I particularly like that they listened to my needs and paired her with Alan who had experience of using innovative and alternative styles of tutoring to reach her learning style. It was a personal service rather than a blanket service. I was contacted intermittently to confirm all was on track.
