I am a Chemical Physicist (PhD) and experienced international school teacher specialising in IB Chemistry and MYP/GCSE/IGCSE Maths and Sciences (Chemistry and Physics). I also provide guidance for IB Chemistry and Physics Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. My background as both a scientist and teacher allows me to combine strong subject knowledge with a clear and practical approach to learning. I particularly enjoy helping students make sense of challenging scientific concepts, develop confidence in problem solving and understand the reasoning behind the Chemistry rather than simply memorising content. My lessons are adapted to each student's needs, whether they are looking to strengthen their foundations, improve their grades or prepare intensively for examinations.

With a background in Physical Chemistry, I have over a decade of experience in research environments, education and scientific outreach. After completing my PhD in Chemical Physics, I spent four years teaching at a renowned international school, with a focus on IB Chemistry as well as middle school Chemistry, Physics and Maths. This gave me extensive experience working in an international-school environment supporting students with different academic backgrounds, learning styles and university ambitions. Since 2020, I have also tutored IB Chemistry SL & HL students both online and in person.

My tutoring covers syllabus content, problem solving, exam preparation and guidance with Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. I focus on building a strong conceptual understanding before applying it to IB-style questions and exam technique, breaking difficult topics into manageable steps and adapting explanations to the individual student. I have supported students aiming for a wide range of university pathways, including Chemistry and other STEM subjects as well as Medicine, helping them develop both the academic knowledge and scientific reasoning needed for further study.
