I am an experienced international Biology educator with over 13 years of teaching experience, specialising in IB Diploma, MYP and IGCSE Biology. My teaching is student-centred and visual/kinesthetic in approach. I specialise in breaking down complex biological processes, developing exam technique, and guiding students through coursework such as Internal Assessments. I have served as an IB Extended Essay supervisor, supporting students in producing rigorous, university-level research. I am an expert in revision, and to date, I have helped over 200 students prepare for IB Biology and IGCSE examinations, with many going on to secure places at competitive universities. Having been an IB student myself, I bring a genuine understanding of the challenges and demands of the programme to every lesson.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Life, Biomedical, and Physical Science and a Master's in Teaching Science Education, both from a well-regarded American university. My international teaching career has taken me across the United States, China, and Romania, where I have held roles including Science Department Coordinator, Grade 8 Curriculum Coordinator, IB DP Biology Instructor, and IGCSE Coordinated Science Instructor. I have participated in IB Biology Category 1 and Category 2 professional development, equipping me to deliver the updated IB Biology curriculum. Most recently, I have been teaching pre-medical Biology to international students at a college in Budapest, delivering examination preparation in a virtual setting.

In my tutoring, I design personalised lessons based on each student's individual needs, using visual and kinesthetic strategies to make complex content accessible and memorable. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students decode command terms, structure responses, and approach assessments with confidence. I provide dedicated support for the IB Internal Assessment process as well as Extended Essay supervision for students undertaking biology-based research. My goal is to give every student the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to perform at their best.
