About:
I hold over 30 years of distinguished international experience in IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science (SEHS), Physical Education, and Athletic Program Leadership across leading IB World Schools. Bilingual in English and Spanish, I bring to private tuition my extensive expertise in curriculum design, coaching, and evidence-based teaching. As an IB Examiner and IA moderator for SEHS, I support my students to boost both confidence and results in all aspects of the SEHS course. My teaching approach is inquiry‑driven and student‑centered, where learners can actively connect scientific theory to practical sport and health contexts, developing both critical thinking and lifelong wellbeing.
Teaching experience and approach:
I hold a Bachelor of Physical Education, Sports Science and Recreation as well as a Masters in Education (Human Relations) and am a certified IB Teacher and Examiner for Sports, Exercise and Health Science (SEHS). I am an IB Educator Network member since October 2025 and assist IB SEHS teachers worldwide with ready-to-use units and class materials. My career achievements include receiving the 2022 Outstanding Leadership in Education Award for pioneering the integration of sports science in education, as well as leading accreditation and curriculum reviews for physical education under NEASC, WASC, and IBO standards. I bring a multifaceted approach to wellness education and student engagement and am passionate about fostering holistic development in students through a blend of science, innovation, and inclusive sports programmes.
