About:

I am a certified and experienced teacher of Biology since 2014 with a particular focus on IB and A Level Biology, both of which I currently teach. As an IB examiner and IA moderator for Biology since 2016, and EE Coordinator in my school, I am particularly well-equipped to guide IB students to increased success in their Internal Assessments, Extended Essays and exam preparation. My passion lies in fostering inquiry-driven learning, guiding students through independent research, and supporting them to achieve their highest academic potential. I ensure my students remain engaged, motivated, and consistently supported throughout their learning experience.

Teaching experience and approach:

I hold a Bachelor and Master of Science and began my career in Biology as a research scholar before beginning teaching in 2014. I now have a Master of Education and over a decade of teaching experience in international schools in India and Canada, where I also taught to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and the British Columbia (BC) Curriculum. I have held various leadership roles including Head of Department, EE Coordinator and Coordinator of the Model United Nations.

I am known for my strong subject knowledge, creativity and the strong relationships I create with my students. I draw on my IA moderator and EE Coordinator experience to ensure my students achieve the highest levels of academic rigor, ethical conduct and timely completion of their independent work. My teaching philosophy blends both student- and teacher-centered approaches, ensuring that learners have the freedom to choose their learning pathways while being guided by clear, structured instructions tailored to help them achieve their goals.
