Suheir

I have been teaching Biology since 1992 and am so passionate about IB Biology that I helped form the team to start the Diploma Programme in my school in 1995. I have taught DP Biology ever since, and have become an IB examiner and Internal Assessment moderator also. I am currently the IB Extended Essay Coordinator at my school and between 2008 and 2020, regularly led IB Workshops in DP Biology throughout Europe. I create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to succeed.

I hold a Master in Human Physiology and undergraduate studies in Medical Laboratory Technology, but I quickly turned my career to teaching. Whether teaching or tutoring, I create a collaborative atmosphere where students are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in their learning. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into understandable segments, using various teaching techniques such as interactive discussions and practical examples or sample questions. I also emphasize critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ensuring that students grasp the material and apply it in different contexts.
